Average Read Time
The average time a reader spends reading an article calculated in minutes.
Average Scroll Depth
The percentage of page depth a reader scrolls down. Keep in mind, scroll depth can be impacted if the reader is on mobile versus desktop, and takes into account the entirety of the page.
Bounce
Google Analytics measurement of how many visitors come to your site but do not click through. Matcha's Insights gives you a closer look at how many of those visitors are readers, and how long they are engaging with the content.

Canonical Tags
A piece of code on Matcha content that tells search engine bots that the page is syndicated content and points to the owner site. Using these tags ensures search engines do not penalize our customers for duplicate content.
When you publish an article from Matcha, we automatically include the canonical tag in the HTML of the article body.
CMS
Content Management System, e.g. WordPress, Shopify Blog or Magento.
Content Clicks
The number of clicks to content on your site from the email they received.
Content-Influenced Revenue
Content-influenced revenue is attributed to any article a customer read before making a purchase. If a customer reads multiple articles before making a purchase, the revenue is attributed to all of those articles.
Conversion Funnel
Matcha's conversion funnel demonstrates which content is the most impactful at each stage of a customer's journey to purchasing. We track which content visitors read the most, which content turns readers into subscribers, and which content influenced a subscriber to purchase from you.

CPC
Cost per click. When campaigns are optimized for CPC, they are optimized for a user’s click on your content ad.
Cost per lead. When ads are optimizing for CPL, they are optimizing for the people most likely to submit their email as a lead.
Cost per thousand impressions.
CTR
Click-through rate. The percentage of recipients who clicked a link to your website via an email, ad, organic post, or anywhere else you may have promoted your content.
Custom Content
In contrast to licensed content, original content is a blog post or any other type of content that is owned by a brand. It is created by the brand or for the brand.

Engagement Rate
The percentage of visitors that stayed on the page for more than 15 seconds. 77.7% is the average engagement rate for articles published by Matcha’s customers.
ESP
Email service provider. This is where you send your marketing emails from.
Filter
Feature within Explore Library tab. Filters sort content by: location, topic, reader persona, tag, content type and publisher.

Global tracking code (GTC)
Code installed into the head of your website that Matcha to measure content performance across your site.
When you connect with our Shopify or Wordpress integrations, Matcha's GTC is automatically installed in the header of your website. Matcha's GTC can also be manually installed through a tag manager or directly into the header of your website HTML.
Impressions
The number of times an ad is viewed by your audience.
Insights
Tab within Matcha app that brings in data about how your audience is engaging with your content. Pinpoints which content is pushing customers through your sales funnel to impact the growth of your subscription list, and ultimately, your bottom line.

Subscribers
Subscribers are attributed to any article read before a consumer submits their email to a locked form or another tracked form. If a consumer reads multiple articles before submitting a form, a lead is attributed to all of those articles.
