Matcha's MailChimp integration helps you understand how content influence clicks, open rates, and click-through rates from email.
To set up the integration with MailChimp, simply go to the Settings page in Matcha and authorize your MailChimp account, or select Mailchimp from the ESP drop-down menu during subscriber form customization. You can learn more about setting up the MailChimp integration here.
Website visits show how much total web traffic came from clicks, as well as the total clicks on content versus non-content links. Website visits allow you to see how much traffic blog posts, articles, and other forms of content drives to your site.
Open rate shows your email open rate compared against the industry average.
Click-through rate shows the overall click-through rate for an email, and the percent of clicks to content-type pages. Both are calculated using unique clicks divided by unique opens. Use this metric to see how content performs in a particular email as well as to compare how content performs across your email campaigns.
Will I see historical data once I connect my MailChimp account?
Yes! Matcha will pull in historical data so that you can see all of the results from campaigns prior to the integration. Please note, it can take up to one hour to sync. You will also see historical content-attributed visits and clicks beginning from when you installed the Matcha tracking code on your website.
The number of clicks to my content pages is incorrect. What’s wrong?
To accurately track content analytics, you need to have the Matcha content tracking snippet correctly installed on your website.
What types of email campaigns do you support with this integration?
Currently, the integration includes data from what MailChimp calls "regular email campaigns." This does not include automated email campaigns or ongoing email campaigns.
There is a discrepancy between the data in my MailChimp account and what is showing in Matcha analytics. What’s going on?
MailChimp data is pulled into Matcha every hour, so the data may not have updated within Matcha. Additionally, you can check the status of the connection in Matcha's Settings.
How many MailChimp accounts can I connect to Matcha?
Currently, each Matcha account can support one MailChimp account. You can switch the connected account by deactivated the current MailChimp account and adding the new one in the Settings section of your account.
