New Customers Connecting Shopify
When a customer connects Matcha with Shopify, we install two snippets: Matcha’s global tracking code and a code that will connect identifiable Shopify users with Matcha readers. This allows us to correlate content engagement with purchase data.
- Log in to Matcha.
- You will be prompted in your dashboard to connect your blog. Press the Shopify button.
- Enter the name of your Shopify shop URL and select ‘Connect your shop.’
- Log in to your Shopify account to authorize the integration.
- When Shopify prompts you to install an unlisted app, select yes and continue.
- You will be redirected to Matcha to verify your connection to Shopify.
You’re all set to start publishing to Shopify with Matcha!
Existing Customers Reconnecting to Shopify
If you connected your Shopify website prior to October 15, 2019, you will need to reconnect your Shopify account in order to grant Matcha publishing permissions. This will enable the ability to publish to your blog directly from the Matcha app.
- Log in to Matcha.
- Navigate to Matcha settings, and scroll down to the Shopify Integration.
- Click ‘Update Permissions.’
- This will take you to your Shopify dashboard.
You’re all set to publish to you Shopify with the click of a button!
Publishing to Shopify
Filling your blog with content has never been easier with our Shopify integration:
- Log in to Matcha.
- Find an article you want to publish in the My Content or Explore Library tab.
- Click the article to open.
- Press ‘Publish to [Blog Name]’
If you have multiple Shopify blogs, press the drop-down arrow to choose which blog you want to publish to. - Press ‘Finish Publishing’ to complete.
Within a few seconds, you should see the article live on your blog!
